8th/9th : HOLSTEINS: DAY 1 - MILKING HERD and all HEIFER CALVES born since 1st September 2011. DAY 2 - ALL IN-CALF & MAIDEN HEIFERS and the STOCK BULL. Being the Dispersal of the Entire HAFESP herd upon the instructions of the Administrators of the Estate of E A Davies Dec’d, t/a W Davies & Son, comprising 217 Cows and Heifers In-milk, 43 In-calf Heifers, 32 Served Heifers, 118 Maiden Heifers born 2010, 66 Maiden Heifers born January to August 2011, 83 Heifer Calves and 1 Willsbro bred Stock Bull. This is a wonderful herd of cattle and only for sale due to the recent sad and tragic death of the late Arthur Davies, a wonderful man, respected by all. The legacy he has left is a herd of exceptional merit and type and production; the cows are powerful, wide, not too tall and have on the whole great udders and legs and feet. Many top scoring and classy individuals sell. All year round calving but still over 100 cows calving from October to February. The herd is also very young with 175 animals milking with their 1st, 2nd or 3rd lactations, including 71 milking heifers. Management is good - Semi-TMR, 2X daily milkign and cubicles. Herd average is 9249 kg 3.81% 3.18% with wonderful Cell Count average of 128. Top Sires used throughout - milkers feature daughters of Atom, Onyx, Ford, Duplex, Best, Damion, Matisse, Shottle, Decker, Blitz, Mr Sam, Ready, Ross and Design who account for over 100 daughters selling. The In-calf Heifers and Young Stock which are super cattle in all age groups include daughters of Ross, Design, Bolivia, Onward, Damion, Blade, Mr Sam, End Story, Dusk, Sarson-Red, Tregibby Gibson and almost 50 daughters of Million. This is a super herd of cattle only coming onto the market due to tragic cirumstances and provides the first major opportunity of the year to buy genuine dispersal animals.
