126 PEDIGREE HOLSTEINS 1 PEDIGREE ANGUS BULL Being the Entire PENNYQUART herd, the property of CM & CA Benbow and removed from Pennyquart Farm, Wetwood, Eccleshall, Staffordshire for Sale convenience. Comprising 75 Cows and Milking Heifers, 15 In-calf Heifers, 36 Maiden Heifers and Heifer Calves and 1, 2˝ year old Pedigree Angus Bull. This is a super herd of good looking milky cows which has a very high proportion of young cows in its number. All year round calving. There are 2(EX), 25(VG) and 28(GP) animals selling and there are over sixty milking with their third and younger lactations including 29 milking heifers. Good sires throughout, and Roylane Jordan who has 26 dtrs in the milking herd has made a big impression siring superior cows with good type. Others are by Shottle, Lookout, Starr, Drake, Dondee, Stormatic and Convincer who between them account for another 30 daughters. The Youngstock are great and include daughters of Shottle, Racer, Atlas, Bolton, Matson and Lennon. Management is extremely good - Semi TMR based on grass/maize and out-of-parlour feeders. 2X milking, Cubicles. Herd average 10334 kg 3.77% 3.12% CC88. CI 393. Vacc for Lepto and Blue Tongue. 284 HOLSTEINS Being the Dispersal of the Entire PILCH herd the property of Mrs A R Nicholson (t/a Adstockfields) and removed from Pilch Farm, Singleborough, Nr Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire to Beeston Castle Auction for Sale convenience, comprising 169 Cows and Milking Heifers, 62 In-calf/Served Heifers and 53 Maiden Heifers and Heifer Calves. What a great herd of cows this is - milky, young, really good looking and in cracking form. As a whole they are in great condition, have good udders, legs and feet with great frames that are bred to last. Herd 83% GP or better (2 EX; 25 VG; 96 GP). The herd is very young with over 100 milking with their 1st or 2nd lactations including 56 milking heifers. Calving pattern is all year round with strong bias towards autumn and winter milk production with over 100 due Sept.to December. Main sires of the milkers are Mtoto, Jackson, Talent, Decker, RSVP and Jenny-Lou. These six bulls are the sired of 132 members of mthe milking portion. The In-calf Heifers and Young Stock are tremendous and very well grown; they are principally sired by Decker, Baxter, Mr Minister, Specialist, Shottle, Jackpot and Jesfa. BONVILLE 195 HOLSTEINS Being the Dispersal of the Entire Milking Portion and All In-calf Heifers from the BONVILLE herd the property of J W Tuer & Son and removed from Birkby Gate House, Great Smeaton, Northallerton, North Yorkshire to Beeston Castle Auction for Sale convenience and comprising 100 Cows and Milking Heifers, 20 Fresh Calved Heifers; 55 In-calf Heifers due to calve Summer and Autumn and approximately 20 Baby Heifer Calves up to one month of age. This ia a very good herd of commercially managed cattle that are in good condition, display all the positive attributes of conformation, good udders, legs and feet, dairy frames with width and are ideal for those requiring genuine cattle which will perform well wherever they go. The calving pattern is all year round with a positive bias towards summer and autumn with 50 calving between July and December and about 48 calved since March including 20 fresh heifers. Youth is a feature with almost 90 head milkign with their third or younger lactations including some 44 heifers. Good sires used including Courier, Lucente, Principal, Freeman, Westminster, Conformer, Jordan, Bradley and Samuelo in the cows. The In-calf Heifers are impressive and include dtrs of Shottle, Melody, Freeman and Grand Prix and mostly in-calf to Matson(sexed), Tennyson or Limousin.
