Fine Art Sale - The Fine art auction and antiques at Wright Manley’s Beeston Castle salerooms is always well attended. The recent sale on the 24th September included the entire farmhouse contents from Ivy Bank Farm, Near Hargrave, Chester which was fiercely completed for by dealers and collectors who either attended the auction, left commission bids, and others were so keen to purchase a lot they organised live telephone bids from Tennessee, Connecticut in America and from all over England, Scotland and Wales. A French violin bow by Eugene Sartory, late 19th early 20th century saw 4 telephone bidders competing with an equal number of collectors in the room pushed the price well above estimate to £8,050 including premium. The bow was discovered by auctioneer Bill Witter on a routine valuation day.
